Made cut outs of my old behind the ear hearing aid I used to wear back in the day before it was hip like CIA or cool nerdish like Trekkies.

“Going back to basics”!  ha!  Lately , I have been using my ‘normal’ lens to get back to the roots of photography.  Yesterday was perfect for my taste. Grey/overcast day with no shadows creating a flat contrast. It does forces your visual senses to look at the subjects in a deeper appreciative sense.  Richard Avedon’s  ”American West” portrait series was photographed in the shade and using available bounced light method has influenced my low light/contrast photography approach.  There is a  beautiful subdue nature of low/flat contrast photographs. Time slows down and minute details speaks softly guiding the way of the composition around the frame.  It has been a great exercise to slow me down and take stock of my experimental photograph series.
